Crunchbase is the default place people look up a company: founders, funding, headcount and links. A profile is less a launch and more an entity record that other tools and researchers cite.

Creating a company profile is free through the community submission flow, with paid subscriptions for advanced data access. An account is required and edits are moderated. Outbound links are nofollow or platform-controlled.

At DR 91 with roughly 3.5M estimated monthly organic visits, the value is discoverability and credibility with investors and sales teams. Keep the record current — stale funding and team data is the most common problem.
