r/SideProject is a show-and-tell community for people building things outside a job: weekend tools, first SaaS attempts, half-finished experiments. It is one of the few large subreddits where posting your own project is the point rather than an exception to the rules.

Posting is free and immediate with an account, governed by moderator rules rather than editorial review. Reddit’s site-wide guidance still discourages accounts that only ever post their own links, so comment on other projects as well as your own. Outbound links are nofollow, and votes and comments drive how far a post travels.

Treat it as a feedback channel first and a traffic channel second. Posts that explain what you built, what broke and what you are unsure about reliably outperform a bare link and a screenshot.
